PEACE THAT SPEAKS UP
Scripture: Luke 1:67–79
Zechariah, filled with the Holy Spirit, finally speaks—and his words are powerful. His song, often called “The Benedictus,” proclaims God's mercy, deliverance, and light. His voice becomes an instrument of peace.
We often underestimate the power of our words. But peace grows when we use our voices for blessing—when we encourage, reassure, advocate, and speak gently. Words can wound, but they can also heal.
Advent teaches us that the peace God plants in us is meant to be shared. Zechariah’s voice was restored not just for himself, but for everyone who would hear the promise of God’s faithfulness.
Reflection Question:
Who needs to hear a word of peace from you today?
Action Step:
Send a specific, sincere message of encouragement to someone who is struggling.
Prayer:
God of mercy, fill my mouth with words that build up and bless. Amen.
